Very interesting place. Mike our tour guide was very informative and i learned some new things about the origin of the name Lewis and where a few common phrases come from and the local Bats (and obviously alot about Quarrying! Ranging right back to Roman times). The tour lasted 1 hour 30. It was 17 degrees outside and the caves were 9 degree's inside, You definatly need to wrap up, as they recommend, it was chilly underground and dampish. There is a cafe hut with undercover outside seating, tea/coffee, cold drinks, snacks. Souvenirs etc. Reasonably priced. And amble parking.

Very interesting tour, Gill was really friendly and made it a great experience. Definitely recommend but make sure you wrap up warmer than you think you should.

Well worth a visit Mike our guide was very informative and interesting to listen to. Caves are very cold so wrap up warm. There is a lovely cafe which serves hot drinks and snacks a lovely little gift shop

On a wet summer day this was a perfect outing for the kids and very interesting for the grown ups as well. Our guide was excellent. it's a fascinating run through 2000 years of history in the area and it was really brought to life.

Really interesting place to visit and in poor weather can get really busy (think 50+ to a guided 1hr tour). Fortunately the caves echo and you can hear them talk - lots of really interesting history about the local area, geology, bats and smuggling. Definitely worth a visit, give yourself 2 hours in total including tour.

Just back from a wonderful tour of Beer Quarry Caves. We've been coming to Beer for 20 years and it's the first time we've done this. Shirley was a fantastic tour guide - engaging, humour and incredibly knowledgeable. Highly recommended

Me and my 3 sons (4,8,19) had a wonderful experience here. The caves were massive and our guide Jed told us a lot of history in a very humorous yet fact way and we all could relate and had fun! As a side note please take something warmer to wear as it is a little wet and cold Will visit again

Fascinating trip underground,lasted about 1.5 hours it's a bit chilly by the end so bring a coat and sensible footwear. The going is quite good so suitable for most ages (and dogs)Has toilets small shop and cafe What makes these trips is the guides and our guide Jill was excellent,she obviously knew her stuff was informative,educational and entertaining While you can just turn up its better to telephone and reserve a place

Great place to visit on a hot or rainy day, excellent guide, fascinating, wear sensible shoes as the floor can be wet and slippery, it is quite cool inside so take a mac, there is also a small shop for souvenirs or something to eat and drink and bbqs in the summer. Not for the claustrophobic or disabled as the floor is uneven. Great place to visit.

Great informative tour, by great team with very, very reasonable food and drinks available from gift shop. With good access for people with limited mobility, tour was posible with 4 wheeled walker!! And was not to faster paced so all could keep up including people in their late 80's on this trip!!
